Dear Friends,

I welcome you to the NHSO's World Tour season in which we "taste" some of the greatest symphony repertoire from the many corners of the Globe!

To begin, our journey starts in one of the richest and most splendid countries ... the sundrenched and historic landscapes of Italy.  Then we head to northern Europe and hear the music of the Finland's grand master, Jean Sibelius. 

This is also the beginning of my final season as Music Director of the New Haven Symphony, after which I will become Music Director Emeritus.  These eight years have been among the most rewarding and fulfilling of my career. It is with wonderful memories of many great concerts that we celebrate our artistic and financial successes over these many years.  From my heart, I thank you for your passionate and frequent support for this extraordinary orchestra!
