In this powerful orchestral tribute\, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra joins four international reggae vocalists to celebrate the life\, message\, and music of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. \nThe songs in this “rockumentary” style musical journey through Marley’s life and legacy are performed by a live reggae band\, four guest vocalists\, and full symphony orchestra\, weaving together storytelling\, visuals\, and new orchestral arrangements of Marley’s most beloved music. From early roots reggae to global anthems of unity and resistance\, the show traces the emotional arc of Marley’s life while bringing fresh symphonic color to songs that have inspired generations. \nThe production marks the 80th anniversary of Bob Marley’s birth\, bringing together reggae artists and symphonic musicians in a large-scale multimedia concert honoring Marley’s message of love\, unity\, and social justice. \nThe New Haven Symphony Orchestra is proud to present the U.S. premiere of this exciting production. \nAudiences will hear iconic songs such as No Woman\, No Cry\, Is This Love\, Redemption Song\, and One Love performed in powerful new arrangements that blend reggae rhythm with the color and scale of a full orchestra. \nFeatured Performers\nNew Haven Symphony Orchestra\nChelsea Tipton\, II\, Principle Pops Conductor\nRedemption Band\nGuest Star Vocalists: \n \nAmmoye \nJamaican-Canadian vocalist Ammoye is one of the leading voices in contemporary reggae. Born in Clarendon\, Jamaica and now based in Toronto\, she has earned seven JUNO Award nominations for Reggae Recording of the Year. Her music blends classic roots reggae with soul\, gospel\, and R&B influences\, and her performances are known for their powerful messages of unity\, empowerment\, and social justice. \nSoji Joseph \nSoji Joseph is a reggae and soul vocalist known for his dynamic stage presence and rich baritone voice. His performances span reggae\, funk\, and Afro-Caribbean traditions\, and he has appeared in numerous international touring productions celebrating Caribbean music and culture. \nSteele \nReggae singer Steele has built a reputation as a compelling interpreter of classic roots reggae. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Bob Marley and Peter Tosh\, his performances combine traditional reggae vocals with modern arrangements and improvisation. \nYendi \nSinger Yendi brings a powerful contemporary voice to reggae and Caribbean music.
