New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) announced today that the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism (CCT) has awarded the NHSO a grant in the amount of $12,980.00 from the Connecticut Arts Endowment Fund

 Join the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and Music Director William Boughton on Thursday, February 18, at 7:30pm, at Woolsey Hall featuring Schubert’s charming Symphony No. 3 in D Major, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major featuring NHSO Concertmaster Ani Kavafian, Music Alive Composer-in-Residence, Augusta Read Thomas’s original work Prayer & Celebration and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 in Bb Major Op.60.

This enchanting program conducted by Jerry Steichen beckons all lovers to what will be a memorable evening. With Irish classics such as Danny Boy coupled with romantic standards by Cole Porter, George Gershwin and others as sung by baritone Michael Zegarski, this concert will certainly help Cupid hit his mark.
