DESCRIPTION:Hallelujah! “The Trumpet Shall Sound” at First Congregational Church in Madison for Handel’s traditional oratorio with the ethereal voices of Christ Church Choir. \nThe Music\nG.F Handel\nMessiah \n\n\nThe Performers\nNew Haven Symphony Orchestra\nAlasdair Neale\, Conductor & Music Director\nChrist Church Choir\nAdrienne Lotto\, soprano\nDaniel Moody\, countertenor\nAlbert Lee\, tenor\nJared Swope\, baritone\n \n\nThe Christ Church Choir sings at Solemn High Mass on Sunday mornings\, Compline on Sunday evenings\, and at weekday feasts and fasts throughout the year at The Christ Church in New Haven. The auditioned chamber ensemble is made up of students from Yale University and members of the New Haven community. SUMMARY:A Broadway Holiday
DESCRIPTION:It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas…\nThe NHSO Brass Quintet and Tony and Grammy Award-Nominated singer and actor Bryce Pinkham will sing and play Christmas favorites from the Great White Way plus holiday hits like Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride. The concert will include Broadway’s most magical holiday carols\, including “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” from Meet Me in St. Louis\, “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music\, and “White Christmas” from Holiday Inn. \nTickets to this performance will be available for sale beginning at 6:30pm tonight in the entrance of the church. \n\nAbout the Performers\n\nBryce Pinkham is widely known for his work on television\, including Mercy Street\, and on Broadway — notably his role of Monty Navarro in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder\, for which he received nominations for both a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical as well as a Grammy Award (Best Musical Theater Album). \n After more than 700 performances of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder\, Bryce went on to star in the Broadway revival of The Heidi Chronicles as Peter Patrone\, for which he was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award as well as the Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance in 2015. In the fall of 2016\, he returned to Broadway leading the cast of Roundabout Theater and Universal Pictures’ Holiday Inn. Bryce also originated roles in Ghost the Musical and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson on Broadway. \nHis upcoming film and television appearances include a series regular role in the second season of Mercy Street as well as performances in the Robert DeNiro comedy\, The Comedian\, and Baz Lurman’s Netflix Drama The Get Down. Previously\, he has appeared on The Good Wife\, Person of Interest\, and the PBS’ miniseries God in America.
