TessaLark_ReadyAimMozart, Haydn, Beethoven…these are three of the most influential names in the history of Western music. The New Haven Symphony Orchestra will take on masterpieces by these musical titans at “Mozart, Haydn & Beethoven” on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30pm at Woolsey Hall in downtown New Haven. Music Director William Boughton will lead the orchestra in Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Haydn’s “London” Symphony, and Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, which will feature one of classical music’s risings stars, Tessa Lark.

She is a recipient of a career grant from the Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Performing and Visual Arts. Other awards include first prize in both the 2008 Irving Klein International Strings Competition and the 2006 Johansen International Competition for Young String Players, as well as top prizes in the 2012 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the 2009 Michael Hill International Violin Competition.
