Perry So’s first season as music director features performances across the city, including the Lyman Center for the Performing Arts at SCSU, St. Mary’s Church in Downtown New Haven, and Woolsey Hall at Yale University.

Shelton Series

For more than 20 years, the town of Shelton has been our second home. It is our main regional satellite performance site, and we invite you to enjoy our concerts in these comfortable, local venues.

This season, Principal Pops Conductor Chelsea Tipton, II has curated 3 dazzling programs for Naugatuck Valley audiences ranging from classic American songbook to funk-fusion video game music! This series is designed to be enjoyed by families together on weekend afternoons.

Joan Ellison Swings in High Fidelity

Sparks will fly when Joan Ellison brings the Golden Age of studio recording back to life with a swinging celebration of the most dazzling singers, songwriters, and arrangers of the mid-twentieth century. The timeless hits include Rosemary Clooney’s “April in Paris,” Peggy Lee’s “What a Little Moonlight Can Do,” Lena Horne’s “Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man of Mine,” Judy Garland’s “San Francisco,” Ella Fitzgerald’s “’S Wonderful,” Doris Day’s “It’s Magic,” and many more.

Video Game Music Reimagined Featuring DiscoCactus

Grab a controller ticket for the ultimate multiplayer mode: your New Haven Symphony Orchestra live in concert with video game music band DiscoCactus! These versatile, classically-trained, funk fusion musicians tour the world playing video game soundtracks for live audiences, and now debut their first-ever show with orchestra. Featuring tunes from such gaming classics as The Legend of Zelda and Minecraft, to beloved indie titles like Hollow Knight and CrossCode, there’s something for everyone at this family-friendly concert.
