
Meet the musicians of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Goes to the Zoo! This interactive program is designed for kids and families and explores how music and animals are connected..
This program features Flight of the Bumblebee, selections from Carnival of the Animals (including The Lion, The Elephant, Fossils, and The Swan), and The Race, a narrated retelling of the Tortoise and the Hare for brass quintet. Each piece highlights the different sounds, colors, and personalities of the brass section of the orchestra.
What to Expect:
- A 45 minute concert with no intermission
- Live narration connecting music and storytelling
- A chance to see brass instruments and live animals up close
- A relaxed, family-friendly environment
- The program was designed with ages 3-8 in mind, but anyone is welcome!
