In response to and in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter protests in New Haven and across the globe, the New Haven Symphony presented a virtual audio – visual experience, NEW MORNING FOR THE WORLD.

The video presentation by Peabody award-winning broadcaster and producer Elliott Forrest was paired with Joseph Schwantner’s New Morning for the World: Daybreak of Freedom, a live recording by the NHSO in April 2019. Opera Legend Harolyn Blackwell stars as the narrative voice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Coinciding with the video’s release was a live panel discussion hosted by Inner City News Editor Babz Rawls Ivy.
