NHSO Announces 2022 Winter & Spring Concerts

Monday • December 6, 2021

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) announces its slate of concerts for the Winter and Spring Seasons of 2022. Subscriptions are currently on sale and tickets to individual concerts will go on sale starting January 3, 2022.

Music Director Alasdair Neale says, “For our first season back performing for audiences in-person, we wanted to highlight the versatility of our musicians and celebrate what makes the New Haven Symphony unlike any other orchestra. The music on this season will be a feast for the imagination, featuring some of the most exciting music in the orchestral canon, as well as pieces that may not be immediately recognizable but are instantly loveable. We will also be collaborating with some of the biggest-name soloists in the classical music scene today, which will be a real treat for both listeners and all of us on stage.

“I am particularly excited to introduce our audience members to our new composer-in-residence, Joel Thompson. We will be playing several works by Joel in the next two years, including several commissions and co-commissions with other orchestras.”
