What to Expect

  • A concert of instrumental music by a large orchestra conducted by the NHSO’s music director Alasdair Neale
  • The first half of the program will be the world premiere of Michael Brown’s American Diaries, and then soloist David Fung will come out to play the Mozart with the orchestra. Then there will be a 15 minute intermission. The second half of the program will be Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst followed by music from Igor Stravinsky’s ballet, The Firebird.
  • Audience members of all ages are welcome. The full concert might be long for some elementary school-aged children and it is OK to leave at intermission if the program is too long for them.
