  • NHSO POPS SERIES OPENS WITH BEST OF BROADWAY OCTOBER 11 & 12

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s (NHSO) 2014-2015 Pops Series will open with The Best of Broadway on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:30pm at Hamden Middle School and Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 3:00pm at Shelton Intermediate School. Led by Chelsea Tipton in his debut as NHSO Principal Pops Conductor, the program will feature the NHSO with opera and Broadway stars Carol Dusdieker and Nat Chandler singing show tunes from Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Gypsy, South Pacific and more.

  • Free Brubeck Brothers Concert on the New Haven Green

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) invites you to experience an exciting free summer concert with the dynamic Brubeck Brothers Quartet, Saturday, August 2 on the New Haven Green.  An NHSO Jazz Sextet will perform at 6:00pm and the Brubecks will take the stage at 7:30pm.  Presented by the NHSO and Jazz Haven in cooperation with Mayor Toni Harp, the New Haven Board of Alders, and the Department of Arts, Culture & Tourism.    

  • NHSO Gets Jazzy with Free Dianne Reeves Concert on the Green

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) joins the International Festival of Arts & Ideas lineup this summer for an exciting free concert with jazz empress Dianne Reeves.  Saturday, June 21 at 7:00pm on the New Haven Green. 

  • Young People’s Concerts Reach Over 10,000 Students

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO)’s 82nd annual Young People’s Concert hit the road for a “2014 World Tour” of The Remarkable Farkle & the Wolf.  These educational concerts, which introduce students to musical instruments, genres, and composers, were sponsored by: The Henry E. and Nancy H. Bartels Fund for Education, Wells Fargo, the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust, Performing Arts of Northeast Connecticut, the Katharine Matthies Foundation, the Milford Public Schools, and the Chester Kitchings Family Foundation.

  • Family Fun at the Kate with the NHSO

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s Family Concert brings the magic of storytelling to life with Peter & The Wolf.  Saturday, May 11, 3:00pm at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook.  Tickets are on sale now at www.katharinehepburntheater.org ($16 adults, $10 children under 12).
