Allow the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) and the New England Conservatory Concert Choir to lift your spirits with Brahms’s emotional Requiem for the living. Music Director William Boughton conducts Brahms Requiem on Thursday, April 24 at 7:30pm at Woolsey Hall (New Haven) and on Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm at the Cathedral of St. Joseph (Hartford). The exclusive sponsor of both concerts is the Knights of Columbus.

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) is proud to announce the 2014 recipient of its Community Award; the Eastern Blind Rehabilitation Center (EBRC).  More than 200 legally blind veterans participate in EBRC programs annually, which offer personalized adjustment services in a therapeutic atmosphere where privacy, dignity, personal values and emotional needs are recognized and respected. The blind veterans are transported to Woolsey Hall to enjoy each New Haven Symphony Orchestra performance.

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) today announced a generous sponsorship from Evergreen Woods, a vibrant living retirement community located on 88 acres in North Branford, in support of their upcoming concert, The Huntsmen of Wagner, Strauss & Beethoven.

It is rare for a student composer to have a piece performed by a professional symphony orchestra.  Branford’s Benjamin Scheer, a student at the Eastman Conservatory of Music, will experience the thrill of a lifetime when the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) performs the world premiere of his “ART Dances” at their February 27^th concert at Woolsey Hall.
