    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s (NHSO) 120th season continues with an exciting celebration!  In honor of composer Augusta Read Thomas’s 50th birthday, Music Director William Boughton conducts Wind on the Water on Thursday, February 27 at 7:30pm at Woolsey Hall in New Haven.

    Explore the world of music with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s Family Concert series!  NHSO Family Concerts provide a lively introduction to the instruments of the orchestra through 60-minute interactive programs designed just for children and families.  Tickets are on sale now at www.NewHavenSymphony.org – adult tickets are $15 and include one free child’s ticket (each additional child ticket is $5). 

  • NHSO Holiday Extravaganza with Tony Winner Judy Kaye

    It’s the most wonderful time of the year at the New Haven Symphony Orchestra Pops and we are celebrating with a Holiday Extravaganza- A Mensch’s Christmas.  Tony-Award winner Judy Kaye, baritone Joshua Jeremiah, and conductor Michael Barrett will get audiences in the holiday spirit by performing Christmas songs by Jewish composers.  Friday, December 13 at 8:00pm at Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts, Saturday, December 14 at 2:30pm at Hamden Middle School, and Sunday, December 15 at 3:00pm at Shelton Intermediate School. 

  • NHSO’s Holiday Brass Concert Benefits Community Soup Kitchen

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) brings Christmas cheer to New Haven with a festive Holiday Brass concert on Sunday, December 8 at 6:00pm at Christ Church.  The Christ Church Choir will join the NHSO Brass Quintet for a concert of secular and sacred holiday favorites.  In the spirit of the season, proceeds from the concert will benefit the Community Soup Kitchen, a non-profit organization committed to providing free, nutritious meals to underprivileged individuals, located at Christ Church in downtown New Haven. 

  • NHSO Rings in the Holiday Season with St. Nicolas

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) welcomes the Christmas season with festive performances of Benjamin Britten’s St. Nicolas on Thursday, December 5 at 7:30pm at Trinity Church on the New Haven Green, on Friday, December 6 at 7:30pm at Sacred Heart University, and on December 7 at 7:30pm at the First Congregational Church of Madison.
