    Join the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and Music Director William Boughton for the opening concert of the 2009-10 season, Celebrate 116, Thursday, September 17, 2009, 7:30pm, Woolsey Hall, New Haven. Witness the artistic mastery of internationally renowned violinist and Connecticut native Kurt Nikkanen, who will join the NHSO in recording Walton’s Violin Concerto. Also on the program, Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 in B minor, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21, and Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz. Encore Performance: Wednesday, September 23, 7:00pm, New Canaan High School.

  • New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s Administrative Offices Relocate to Downtown New Haven

    The New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s (NHSO) administrative offices and newly established in-house box office will relocate to The James English Building, 105 Court Street, Suite 302, New Haven, 06511, effective Monday, August 24, 2009. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Join members of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) and special guest artists for the first performance of our 2009-10 Family Concert series, Fiddle Faddle, Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Jones Family Farm in Shelton with performances from 12-1 pm and 2-3pm.

    Join Music Director William Boughton for this fundraising event in support of the NHSO’s Walton Recording Project. Patrons will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at Ciao Bella Moda International at 5:30pm (with Raffle drawing at 6:45pm). At 7:00pm all ticketholders are invited for dessert and silent auction at the Madison Art Cinemas followed by the showing of At the Haunted End of the Day at 8:00pm.
