Put on your PJs, grab your favorite stuffed animal, and join the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) for this year’s Family Concert Series: “Once Upon A Time…” This three-concert series will celebrate the magic of fairy tales and each concert will conclude with a beautiful lullaby that families share at home.

NHSO Principal Pops Conductor Chelsea Tipton will lead the NHSO and guest baritone soloist Joshua Jeremiah in all four performance
The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) will celebrate Veterans Day with a WWII-inspired musical journey at Brothers in Arts on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 7:30pm at the Shubert Theater. Led by NHSO music director William Boughton, the concert program will feature Brothers in Arts, co-written and performed by 2015 Artist-in-Residence Chris Brubeck and French jazz musician Guillaume Saint-James, as well as Aaron Copland’s Quiet City featuring NHSO principal trumpet Rich Clymer and NHSO principal oboist Olav van Hezewijk.
The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) will explore the Northernmost point in Western music at the Northern Lights Festival on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 7:30pm in Woolsey Hall. Led by NHSO music director William Boughton, the concert program will include Sibelius’ Symphonies No. 5 and 7, as well as NHSO Principal Clarinetist David Shifrin performing Nielsen’s Clarinet Concerto.

Songs of the Seventies on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:30 pm at Hamden Middle School and Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Shelton Intermediate School. Featuring vocalists Jayne Kelli and AJ Sweringen, NHSO Principal Pops Conductor Chelsea Tipton will lead this intimate acoustic show of heartfelt classics by Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, and more.
