The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO)’s 82^nd annual Young People’s Concert hit the road for a “2014 World Tour” of The Remarkable Farkle & the Wolf.  These educational concerts, which introduce students to musical instruments, genres, and composers, were sponsored by: The Henry E. and Nancy H. Bartels Fund for Education, Wells Fargo, the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust, Performing Arts of Northeast Connecticut, the Katharine Matthies Foundation, the Milford Public Schools, and the Chester Kitchings Family Foundation.

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s Family Concert brings the magic of storytelling to life with Peter & The Wolf.  Saturday, May 11, 3:00pm at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook.  Tickets are on sale now at www.katharinehepburntheater.org ($16 adults, $10 children under 12).  

The Board of Directors of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) is pleased to announce that Norwich native Donna Bellantone has joined the staff as Development Director.

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) is pleased to announce that New Music USA has awarded a generous $7,000 grant in support of the Symphony’s 2015 Artist Residency with composer Chris Brubeck. 

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) presents two colossal works in one blockbuster season finale! Music Director William Boughton conducts Rachmaninov Fantastique on Thursday, May 15 at 7:30pm at Woolsey Hall (New Haven) and on Saturday, May 17 at 8:00pm at Mechanics Hall (Worcester, MA).

As Memorial Day approaches, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra Pops presents Jerry’s Cabaret – A Veteran’s Salute.  Journey through the decades with evocative love songs celebrating the lives of soldiers, culminating in a stirring salute to our veterans.  Saturday, May 3 at 2:30pm at Hamden Middle School and Sunday, May 4 at 3:00pm at Shelton Intermediate School.  Tickets are selling fast at www.NewHavenSymphony.org!
